49ers Right Gurad, Alex Boone Reports To Minicamp

Fans of the San Francisco 49ers have something to smile about as the team’s right back, Alex Boone, has decided to end his offseason holdout with the team. There are many expectations with the current 49ers, many 49ers fans believe that this might actually be their year.

The 49ers have been engaged with an offseason holdout with their right guard and on Tuesday when Boone reported to the team’s mandatory minicamp many people were happy to learn that the whole issue had been sorted out. It’s good to note that Boone faces the possibility of having his position changed.

Despite the fact that Boone has reported to the team’s minicamp and the fact that he doesn’t look a bit worried, he failed to achieve one thing that he wanted and that is to have signed a new contract with the team.

“It’s always a good feeling when you come back,” Boone said while he was speaking with the media. “I am happy that I am in a position to be around my teammates again. I must admit, it has been somehow crazy managing the little ones back at home.”

There had been a lot of talks surrounding Booner and whether or not he will be returning to play for the 49ers. And when he skipped the team’s voluntary workouts during offseason, many believed that he would be making a move to another team. To some, the whole incidence did not surprise them. In fact Booner pulled such a stunt last year during the offseason. At that particular time reports had it that Booner did not take part in the teams voluntary workouts due to the fact that he was looking for a new deal with the team. The team obliged and revoked his current contract and gave a 2-year deal worth 6 million dollars.

The deal is set to expire after the 2015-2016 season.
