Doc Rivers treats everyone the same

Doc Rivers treats everyone the same

Glenn Anton “ Doc “ Rivers, an American basketball coach and former player treats everyone the same, even his son Austin. When it comes to basketball Doc spares no one, because he wants to get the best game from his players.

So when his son had the biggest game of his young life and career, it might be heartwarming to someone else, but for his father it was straight business, because he doesn’t look at Austin like he is his son, but to him he is a basketball player, when it comes to performance and giving everything you can.

Austin scored 15 of his 25 points in the third quarter Friday night. His game and point were great of help for the Los Angeles Clippers, and they managed to blow out the Houston Rockets 124-99 and take a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference semifinals.

Doc is definitely proud of his son, and he said that he did enjoy the moment his son scored points, but that’s it. He doesn’t want to be too soft with him, because the truth is they are a team, and when they are playing it is about the game and a team, not the family.
If you think that Doc is harsh, well you are not wrong, and he’s been like that since Austin was a kid.

When Austin was 5 years old, he loved to play checkers with his dad, and he never let him win even though he was just a kid.
“ He wanted me to come over here because he thought I could help, and I wanted to come here because I felt like I could help. “ – said Austin
