Danica Patrick, the darling of car racing

Danica Patrick, the darling of car racing

Whoever said that women can’t drive for sure has not met Danica Patrick. She is a model, a racing driver, and a spokeswoman who wants to change the image of women in the world of racing.

Danica was born in Wisconsin and she was not the typical teenage girl. She was considered a rebel and she always obtained what she wanted even if the world was against her. Danica was passionate about kart racing from the age of ten. Her obsession with cars and driving has continued to increase.

When she was 16, she decided to move to England where she could focus on her career. She made the decision to leave high school, but this did not stop her from obtaining a diploma. A few years later, she moved back to the US to train and compete in the NASCAR. The result? In 2013, she won a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pole and she became the first female driver to achieve this. With this, she qualified for the Daytona 500.

Danica is more than just a pretty girl with a great body. She was very often criticized in the media because of her gender and her low body weight. Other racers seem to think that this is an unfair advantage. Danica does not see things in this way. If you ask her, she will simply say that she does not care, and that’s all. She is involved in numerous charity organizations and she is a role model for other female drivers. Patrick strongly believes that a girl with a pretty face can also be smart and successful, and she proves it every time she races. Every sports magazine wants to have her picture on their cover, and she never said no to any challenge.
