Who are Colin Kaepernick, Tim Howard and Trevor Brazile?

You probably know about at least one of these sport heroes. It all depends on what sport is your favorite.  The three athletes here are all American sportsmen that excel in what they do and, therefore, have become authorities in their respective disciplines. Colin Kaepermick is a football player, Tim Howard plays soccer, and Trevor Brazile is an amazing rodeo champion.

Kaepernick started his professional career in the NFL in the middle of the 2012 season. He was the backup for Alex Smith after Smith became injured. In his first playoff game, he set a record for most rushing yards (181).  The 28-year-old quarterback led the San Francisco 49ers to another Super Bowl. This was the first time for the 49ers to compete for the Super Bowl since 1994. A great and charismatic player, Kapernikc is a Christian Methodist.  He says, “When I step on the field, I always say a prayer to say I am thankful to be able to wake up that morning and go out there and try to glorify the Lord with what I do on the field.”

Tim Howard is the goalkeeper for Club Everton of the English Premier League and the American soccer team. He holds the record of being one of the only four goal keepers to ever score a goal in the Premier League. This goal was on January 4, 2012 against the Bolton Wanderers. He is also the most capped goalkeeper in the US team.  For the 2006 World Cup, Howard was a substitute and did not play. However, he achieved a World Cup record for most saves with 15 in both the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.

Trevor Brazile

Born in Amarillo, Texas, Trevor Brazile is a 23-time World Champion in American rodeo. He also holds several other championships and records. In 2007, he became a Triple Crown winner, the first in 24 years.  His earnings have helped him set the record for being the youngest PRCA cowboy to make more than $2 million in winnings.
