In the same way for other athletic fields the requirements vary. So first decide what type of athlete you want to be.

Once you have decided that, the next step will be to set the goals for yourself. Setting the goals is of extreme importance. For example, if you want to be a sprinter then you will need to make your body slimmer and fitter. In that case you will need to set the goals to lose weight properly. You will need to decide the deadlines for losing certain amount of weight. You will also need to set your diet and nutrition goals properly according to it. Knowing your goals will help you determine how to go about them. You will be able to fix your physical activity schedule according to it.

Eating healthy is also an important part of your endeavor. To become an athlete you will need to change your diet plan completely. You will need to remove the fat diet and include more protein and carbohydrate diet.
